Analysis and Development:
My project patch developed from a photographic audiovideo piece into, in the end, an audiovideo piece. Objects I came across included the part_follow object, the pix_aging object and the pix_halftone object. I encountered numerous technical difficulties, particularly in regrads to hard coding images and video and had to make changes to my project to overcome these.

“Latent” (Live)-an interactive video installation -desktop.m4v
By Chris Svoboda
“This is a demo of how my interactive video installation works. a MIDI trigger finger was used to put the video and effects on the video in the viewers hands. This was a great project and special thanks to Squeaky Wheel for allowing me the opportunity to research and discover this technology. I hope to start using these tools in live shows/DJ sets and especially at SLYFEST V this summer. Scott Bye and myself are working on something involving an interactive field. I’ll keep you posted…

This piece uses different shooting and editing techniques. These include match cuts, discontinuity, continuity in terms of shooting and overlaying of images and changes in levels of opacity in terms of editing. Further details and storyboards can be found in my New Media technical notebook presented in my studio space in the second year studio.
